The special feature of this hybrid, besides its flashy color, is the use of eco-friendly synthetic suede from Alcantara SpA. The interior is done in black with contrasting stitching and lime accents, and the look is completed by blue ambient lighting.
The hybrid is powered by a standard setup with a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine and an electric motor. The total output of the units is 374 horsepower. The BMW i8 accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, and the top speed is electronically limited to 250 kilometers per hour. According to BMW, the hybrid consumes only 2.1 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.
