The new model features a futuristic design in the style of future cars from the movie universe of "Blade Runner." The car's body is made of ultra-high-strength steel. The pickup's payload capacity is 1587 kilograms. The approach angle is 35 degrees, and the departure angle is 28 degrees. The car's interior features a huge touchscreen display for controlling the main functions of the vehicle, and the steering wheel resembles an airplane yoke. Additionally, the pickup will be available with the proprietary Autopilot semi-autonomous driving system, as well as a surround-view camera system.
The base rear-wheel-drive versions are equipped with a single electric motor. Such a pickup accelerates to 100 km/h in about 6.5 seconds. The top speed is 177 km/h. On a single charge, the car can travel up to 400 kilometers. This version of the Cybertruck can tow a trailer weighing up to 3.4 tons. Customers will also be offered a modification with two electric motors and an all-wheel-drive system. This vehicle reaches 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and can tow up to 4500 kg of cargo.
The top version of the Cybertruck, called Tri Motor, is equipped with three electric motors. One motor is installed on the front axle and two on the rear. Tesla has already begun accepting pre-orders for the vehicle. Customers are expected to receive the first pickups in early 2021. Higher-end versions of the model should be expected in 2022.
