Externally, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 crossover can be distinguished from the regular GLS on the same platform by its massive radiator grille with signature vertical slats, chrome window surrounds, special 22-inch wheels, and the Maybach emblem on the rear pillars. Additionally, the crossover features a two-tone body paint available in eight different combinations.

Specially for the Maybach, unique two-meter retractable running boards with anodized aluminum coating were developed to facilitate passenger entry and exit. These devices, which deploy in one second when the doors open, can support up to 200 kilograms.

The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 can be ordered in a five-seat version or with four individual seats. All seats have electric adjustments and a massage function at nine points with a "hot stone" effect.

In addition, passengers have four-zone climate control, touchscreen tablets, and a panoramic roof. The four-seat version of the crossover can be equipped, for an additional cost, with a champagne refrigerator and a special compartment for silver goblets, which can be selected from the brand's catalog.

A unique scent was created specifically for the crossover. As the developers noted, inside one can detect "a light aroma of osmanthus flowers, combined with notes of noble leather and spicy tea."

The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 is equipped with a specially upgraded four-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 558 hp and 730 Nm of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

The powertrain operates on the EQ Boost hybrid scheme, which, using a 48-volt electrical system and a starter-generator, provides an additional 22 horsepower and 250 Nm for more vigorous acceleration. The crossover can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, and its top speed is limited to 250 km/h.
