The new Mercedes-Maybach crossover will be built on the platform of the next-generation Mercedes-Benz GLS. It is expected that under the hood will be the same twin-turbocharged V8 with a displacement of four liters, which in the most powerful version of the GLS develops 490 horsepower and 700 Newton-meters.
Externally, the Maybach will stand out with a recognizable radiator grille with vertical slats, an increased number of chrome details, and unique wheel rims. Also, some design elements will be taken from the electric show car Mercedes-Benz Vision Maybach Ultimate Luxury (photo), which debuted at the auto show in Beijing in 2018. The gearbox is a nine-speed automatic.
