The crossover's length is 3995 mm, and its width is 1695 millimeters. The car is a rebadged version of the new SUV from Daihatsu, which recently debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show. The new model is based on the Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA) platform, specially created for jointly developed Toyota and Daihatsu models.
So far, the Toyota Raize is available exclusively with a three-cylinder turbocharged engine with a displacement of 1 liter, producing 98 hp and 140 Nm of torque, and a CVT. In the future, the model will get a modification with a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine and a manual gearbox.
The list of available equipment includes adaptive cruise control, a parking assistant, an automatic emergency braking function, as well as a multimedia system with a touchscreen display and support for the Apple CarPlay interface.
Prices for the new model start from 1,679,000 yen, which is equivalent to 15,500 dollars.
