Electric novelties will reach dealerships closer to mid-2020. Already now, 35 thousand preliminary orders have been placed for these "green" cars.

The ID.3 is Volkswagen's debut production electric model, built on the fresh MEB platform. The five-door hatchback is based on flat battery packs integrated into the floor of the body, which freed up more space in the cabin. In terms of dimensions, the car is close to the "Golf": length — 4261 mm, width — 1809 mm, height — 1552 mm, wheelbase — 2765 mm. The curb weight of the electric vehicle reaches 1719 kg.

Buyers will be offered three modifications — with batteries of 45, 58, and 77 kWh, providing a range of 330, 420, and 550 km, respectively. The powertrain delivers 150 or 204 horsepower. The base version accelerates to a maximum of 160 km/h. With fast charging, in half an hour you can replenish enough energy to cover 290 km of travel.
