Judging by the preliminary image, the liftback is based on the Scala hatchback. The new model will have similar angular headlights, while the radiator grille, on the contrary, will acquire smoother contours and move lower, giving way to an expressive hood with a more pronounced slope.
No information on technical updates has been received yet, but serious changes should not be expected — the liftback will likely get the same 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engines with 90 or 110 horsepower and a 1.4-liter turbocharged TSI unit. It is possible that buyers will be offered only one version with a manual gearbox, but it is unlikely that Skoda will completely exclude the manual from the lineup.
