The restyled Nissan Patrol is easy to recognize by the "boomerang" daytime running lights and a new interpretation of the signature V-shaped grille with horizontal "ribs" and a massive frame. At the rear, there are new lights, also with a boomerang pattern and dynamic turn signals (a first for Nissan vehicles), and a chrome trim piece connecting them with the model name.

Inside, the Patrol features seats with a new profile and quilted leather upholstery, as well as a steering wheel wrapped and hand-stitched. Optionally, the front seats can be equipped with ventilation and a power-adjustable lumbar support. On the redesigned center console, there are now two displays, like in the Infiniti QX50: the top one for navigation and multimedia, the bottom one for controlling the main vehicle functions.

For the Patrol, the list of available active safety systems has been expanded, combined under the "umbrella" brand Nissan Intelligent Mobility. New for the model are the emergency braking system with pedestrian detection and the intelligent forward collision warning system.

Since the presentation of the updated Patrol took place in Dubai, so far only the powertrain lineup for the Middle East market is known. The base engine will be a 4.0-liter V6 with 275 horsepower and 394 Nm of torque, and for an additional cost, a 5.6-liter V8 will be offered, producing 400 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque. Drive is all-wheel drive All-Mode 4X with a traction control mode switch. For V8 models, the HBMC (Hydraulic Body Motion Control) anti-roll system is available.
