The convertible based on the Toyota Century is produced in a single copy. Naruhito and his wife will travel about five kilometers in the car from the Imperial Palace in Tokyo to the Akasaka Palace. The 5.34-meter-long sedan was specially stripped of its roof so that people on the streets could get a better look at the imperial couple.

Recall that the Century is the oldest Toyota model, which has been produced for more than half a century - since 1967. Cars of this family are used by the top Japanese leadership, as well as the imperial family.
