Ferrari Chairman John Elkann expressed hope that the new Gran Turismo model, designed for comfortable long-distance travel, will help increase the brand's sales volumes.

According to Elkann, even an increase in annual production will not make the company deviate from its chosen course, and it will not strive to catch up with Porsche in terms of the number of cars sold.

Ferrari's immediate plans include growing annual revenue to five billion euros by 2022. For comparison: in 2017, the Italian manufacturer earned 3.4 billion euros.
