The base unit was the previous 1.2-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine, developing 75 hp, which works in tandem with a five-speed manual gearbox. In addition, the hatchback will be available with turbocharged engines of the same displacement with a power of 100 hp (205 N·m of torque) and 130 hp (230 newton-meters). Transmissions are a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic. The most powerful version of the hatchback can accelerate to 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds, and its maximum speed is 188 km/h.

As an alternative, a 1.5-liter diesel unit is available, developing 102 horsepower and 250 N·m of torque.

Recall that the sixth-generation Opel Corsa debuted as an electric car. The "green" Corsa, which received the "e" prefix in its name, is equipped with an electric unit producing 136 hp and 260 N·m of torque.

The engine allows the car to accelerate from standstill to 50 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and acceleration to 100 km/h takes 8.1 seconds. A set of batteries with 50 kWh allows the electric car to travel up to 330 kilometers without recharging (according to the WLTP cycle). Using a special fast system, the battery reserve can be replenished by 80% in just half an hour.
