Judging by the video, the car will for the first time get LED matrix headlights. The equipment will also include LED fog lights and updated rear lights with dynamic turn signals, like the Kamiq. In addition, the facelifted Superb will get the Coming/Leaving Home function, which briefly turns on the lights after locking or unlocking the car with the key fob to light the way to the vehicle.
The new model will be offered in two body styles — liftback and estate. Compared to the pre-facelift version, the Superb will get different headlights, more aggressive bumpers and a new radiator grille. The modified lights will be connected by a new chrome strip. As seen in previously published spy shots, the interior of the updated Superb will feature a new instrument panel and a large multimedia display. The model will borrow some safety systems from the Passat.
Customers will be offered a new 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a cylinder deactivation function at low loads. A hybrid version will also be available in Europe, including a 1.4-liter petrol engine and an electric motor. The total power of this modification is 220 horsepower. The electric range will be approximately 55 kilometers.
