The new model, designated Shelby GT-S, is being touted as the first rental car with a supercharged engine to be offered to customers through a nationwide rental network.

All Shelby GT-S cars will be finished in Sixt's signature color scheme, combining black and orange shades, and their styling matches the design concept created in collaboration with the customer. Under the hood of these fastbacks is a 5.0-liter V8 engine with a supercharger, producing over 600 horsepower, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The rental Mustangs also feature a suspension with custom tuning, Brembo braking system, and Shelby-branded wheels. A total of 21 such fastbacks are planned: 20 will be sent to Sixt branches across America, and the last one will be handed over to Sebastian Birkel, who heads Sixt USA. Each car will receive a unique serial number and will be registered in the Shelby registry.
