Having covered a distance of 1417 kilometers, the "hot" all-terrain wagon made it from the Finnish city of Rovaniemi to the Norwegian North Cape. The entire journey took 21 hours and 7 minutes. The trip was hampered by harsh conditions: the thermometer dropped to -20 degrees Celsius, and wind gusts reached 70 km/h.
Starting from Rovaniemi sixty minutes before midnight, the team from the Skoda representative office in Italy was already at the border with Norway by four in the morning. At nine o'clock the car reached the North Cape, making only stops for refueling along the way. The Kodiaq RS returned to Rovaniemi through the Finnish border at 15:30, and entered the city already at 18:17. The average speed was 67 km/h.
The powertrain of the Skoda Kodiaq RS is represented by a two-liter diesel engine with twin turbocharging, developing 240 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. It is paired with a seven-speed preselective DSG gearbox. Acceleration to one hundred kilometers per hour takes the crossover exactly seven seconds, and its top speed is limited to 220 km/h.
