As reported by the CEO of Mercedes-Benz Rus JSC, Jan Madeja, the new enterprise in the Solnechnogorsk district of the Moscow region is planned to produce E-Class sedans and GLC, GLE, and GLS crossovers.

Construction of the plant in the industrial park "Esipovo" started in June 2017. The German side's investments in this project amounted to about 300 million euros. At the same time, the Moscow region authorities promised to provide tax relief to the Daimler concern. The new Mercedes-Benz plant will be headed by Axel Bense.

It is expected that the production will create over 1,000 jobs. Assembly of Mercedes-Benz models in Russia will be organized in a full cycle. The plant's capacity will allow producing approximately 25-30 thousand cars annually.
