The new Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake is built on the upgraded MFA platform that was used on its predecessor of the same name. The chassis has become more durable, but at the same time it has reduced the level of noise and vibrations in the car.

The length of the new estate is 4688 mm, which is 48 mm longer than the first-generation CLA Shooting Brake. The width and height have decreased by 33 and 2 mm, to 1999 and 1442 mm respectively. The wheelbase has grown by 30 mm, to 2729 mm, and the trunk volume has increased by 10 liters, to 505 liters.

The new Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake features the MBUX infotainment system with voice command recognition. The list of available equipment includes semi-automatic control systems that debuted on the flagship S-Class model.

For example, the improved camera and radar system can track road situations at a distance of up to 500 meters. For instance, the electronics will be able to independently adjust the speed as it approaches complex interchanges, intersections, or traffic jams.

At the start of sales, the new Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake will be offered with a single two-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 225 hp, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch robotic gearbox and all-wheel drive. In the future, the lineup will be expanded with other gasoline and diesel units.
