The updated Mercedes-Benz GLC received a modified radiator grille with "diamond" dots, additional chrome elements, LED headlights in the base configuration, a sport exhaust system, and other bumpers.
In the interior, wooden inserts made of valuable wood species appeared, as well as a new steering wheel with small touchpads and an impressive number of buttons on the spokes. A digital instrument panel and a touchscreen (7 or 10.25 inches diagonal) of the MBUX multimedia system, which was first shown on the fourth-generation A-Class family, were also added. The restyled GLC was also equipped with the Interior Assistant function. With the help of special sensors, the electronics can recognize the driver's hand movements and change multimedia settings. The navigation system received the Augmented Video function. With its help, the front camera transmits information about house numbers, street names, and road signs directly to the screen. The driver has access to many safety systems, including: emergency braking system, lane keeping system that can change lanes to let emergency vehicles pass, blind spot monitoring function, pedestrian recognition system, parking assistance system, and active cruise control.
The crossover's engine lineup includes two 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engines. The power of the units is 197 and 258 hp. The on-board network is 48-volt to ensure the operation of the starter-generator, which provides an additional 150 N·m of torque. Customers are also offered three diesel engines with outputs of 163, 195, and 245 hp. The gearbox is a 9-speed automatic.
