The design of the "charged" hatchback will be executed in the style of the eponymous concept presented in 2017 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. In particular, the production version will receive a large rear wing with two sections, as well as twin exhaust tips and a large diffuser.
According to preliminary information, lightweight materials will be used in the construction of the hot hatch. In addition, the chassis, suspension, and brakes will be upgraded.
It is expected that the most powerful Mini will be equipped with a significantly refined four-cylinder turbo engine producing more than 300 hp.
The Mini John Cooper Works GP will go on sale in 2020 and will be produced in a limited edition of 3,000 units.
