The restyled Tacoma features a modified grille, LED headlights, and new wheel options. Several new body colors have also been added.
The interior highlights an 8-inch media center screen with support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa, as well as power-adjustable seats. The driver has access to an automatic emergency braking system, as well as pedestrian detection and lane-keeping assist functions.
Additionally, the pickup now offers a Multi Terrain Monitor surround-view system and an off-road turning assist function. The updated Tacoma can tow up to 3,084 kg of cargo.
The pickup's engine lineup remains unchanged. The Tacoma is still equipped with a 2.7-liter gasoline engine producing 159 hp and a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 278 hp.
