The engine lineup gained a new two-liter diesel from the EcoBlue family, available in two power outputs: 150 and 190 hp. In particular, the engine uses a new high-pressure fuel injection system.
The Mondeo wagon now offers a hybrid powertrain option, which includes a two-liter engine running on the Atkinson cycle, an electric motor, a generator, a 1.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, and a CVT.
