The image of the updated Supra appeared on the SupraMKV portal. The photo shows that in production form, the model will use individual design features of the FT-1 concept, which was shown in Detroit almost five years ago.
Under the hood of the new model will be a three-liter twin-turbo engine borrowed from the third-generation BMW Z4 roadster. In the European version of the Z4, this unit develops 340 horsepower and 500 Newton-meters. It is expected that the Japanese coupe will be able to accelerate to one hundred kilometers per hour in 4.5 seconds.
The public debut of the new Supra is scheduled for early January at the motor show in Detroit.
