Global sales of the new Corolla will start early next year. Preliminary prices will start from $20,000.

The twelfth-generation Corolla is built on the TNGA platform, which is also used by the Prius and C-HR. The new model is 4,640 mm long and 1,780 mm wide. The wheelbase is 2,700 mm. The sedan features an independent MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension.
The new Corolla is equipped with LED headlights, a new radiator grille, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Overall, the design of the model echoes the hatchback of the same name presented at the New York auto show in March. Inside, the Entune 3.0 infotainment system and a 7-inch touchscreen display are installed. Optionally, customers will be offered an 8-inch screen.

The sedan's engine lineup will vary depending on the market. Among the common units is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine. The engine produces 170 hp. Customers will also be offered a 1.8-liter gasoline unit with an output of 140 hp.
In addition, a hybrid version of the Corolla is expected. The powertrain will include a 1.8-liter gasoline engine paired with an electric motor.
