The eight-seat SUV will be named Palisade and will go on sale in the summer of 2019. The public debut of the new model is scheduled for the November auto show in Los Angeles. The Chevrolet Suburban and Ford Expedition will be competitors for the model.

The crossover is based on the same architecture as the Kia Telluride. The flagship vehicle will be available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. Spy shots indicate that the Palisade's exterior will echo the design of the new generation Santa Fe: narrow headlights and a large radiator grille.

According to rumors, under the hood the model will have a 3.3-liter gasoline V6 with an output of 290 horsepower. In addition, a hybrid modification with a 3.5-liter V6 is provided, whose total power will reach about 400 hp.
