The company reported that the current level of demand for the GT is about six times higher than production volumes. Another 350 supercars can be ordered from November 1 to December 1, 2018, with customer deliveries expected in 2020–2022.

The new-generation Ford GT debuted in 2016. Since then, the manufacturer has received about 6,500 applications for the coupe, whose production run was initially planned to be limited to a thousand cars. The plan called for 250 cars per year, but in the first year only 138 supercars were assembled.

The new Ford GT is equipped with a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine from the EcoBoost family with 655 horsepower and 745 Nm of torque. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes about three seconds, and the top speed exceeds 345 kilometers per hour.
