First of all, the model will be intended for China. At the moment, the coupe-crossover has the working designation Kodiaq GT, and it is not excluded that the production model may get a different name.
The new product will be based on the modular MQB platform of the Volkswagen concern, on which the regular Kodiaq is built. The crossover will also borrow the range of engines from it. Skoda Kodiaq GT will become an affordable alternative to the BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. In the Skoda model range, the new product should become the company's flagship.
