The public debut of the new model is scheduled for September 17, 2019 in San Francisco, where a special show will take place. The broadcast of this event can be watched online.

In the Audi lineup, this electric crossover will be positioned between the Q5 and Q7 models. Its main rivals will be the Jaguar I-Pace and Tesla Model X. Assembly of the eco-friendly SUV has already been organized at the Belgian plant in Brussels.

The exterior of the model largely repeats the e-tron quattro show car shown in Frankfurt in the fall of 2015. This will be the first production car of the brand to use cameras instead of traditional side mirrors.

Under the hood of the production Audi E-Tron are two electric motors that together produce 360 hp. If you activate sport mode, the output will temporarily increase to over 400 horsepower. The crossover accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in six seconds, and the top speed is 200 km/h.

The motors are powered by a 95 kWh battery, which is enough for 400 kilometers of travel without recharging. If you use fast charging with a power of 150 kW, you can replenish the energy reserve in half an hour.

The model is also equipped with a modern recuperation system. According to the German manufacturer, in more than 90% of cases when braking is needed, the driver will not have to touch the brake pedal — the electric car will effectively slow down on its own if you sharply release the accelerator.
