The new product is a transformer vehicle, on whose mobile base different modules can be installed for transporting passengers or cargo. The prototype's length reaches 5.14 meters, and the cargo compartment occupies 3.70 meters.
The vehicle is driven by a fully electric installation powered by batteries. The version intended for carsharing can carry up to 12 passengers, and the cargo version — up to 10 pallets according to the EPAL standard.
The Mercedes-Benz Vision Urbanetic is designed for operation in densely populated centers of large cities. On the front and side parts of the autonomous vehicle, large screens are installed, displaying various information, including data about what the car "sees" around it.
