Overall, the production car will be similar to the EQ concept, which was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 2016. However, the production version of the crossover will lose the external cameras, which will be replaced by traditional side mirrors. In addition, the fake radiator grille and headlights will be changed.
Earlier, the German company published images of the interior of the EQC model, which will feature the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system, which debuted on the fourth-generation A-Class hatchback. Top versions of the model are offered with a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster combined with a touchscreen multimedia system of the same size.
There are no details about the powertrain yet. The prototype was equipped with two electric units (one on each axle), which together produce 300 kW, equivalent to 408 horsepower. The motors allow the car to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in less than five seconds. On a single charge, the crossover can travel up to 500 kilometers.
