During testing, the temperature reached 50 degrees Celsius. Judging by the photos, the design of the new model repeats the eponymous coupe that was presented earlier. The car will get a wide radiator grille, LED optics, a sporty exhaust system with chrome tips, and a fabric roof.
According to unofficial data, a 3.3-liter diesel engine with six cylinders will be offered for the convertible. The engine power will be 320 hp. The M850i modification will get a 4.4-liter gasoline turbo engine V8 with an output of 530 hp. With such an engine, the coupe accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. For the convertible, this figure will increase to 4 seconds.
The engine will work in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The car will be equipped with an all-wheel drive system, a self-locking rear differential, and an upgraded braking system. It is expected that the convertible will gain 100-125 kg in weight.
The exact dates of the premiere of the new model are still unknown. According to Motor1, the debut of the convertible may take place before the end of this year.
