The electric sports car will accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. With this figure, it will be in the same league as the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye, which has 808 horsepower, as well as the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S (612 hp) and BMW M5 (600 hp) — all of which take 3.4 seconds for this maneuver.
The Porsche Taycan will be equipped with a pair of electric motors that will produce a total of 600 horsepower. The sports car will be able to reach a top speed of 250 km/h, and on a single charge it will travel about 500 kilometers. If a special fast charger is used, the battery can be filled to 80 percent in just 15 minutes.
Back in 2015, the Mission E prototype was shown to the public, which became the predecessor of the production version. The company spent 700 million euros to prepare the model for production. It is expected that buyers will be able to purchase the Taycan no earlier than 2020.
