Sales of the new model, intended primarily for the Chinese market, will start in September 2018.

The exterior of the car is styled after the X-Motion concept car, while the interior resembles the design of the new MG 6 sedan. The crossover features a fully digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch diagonal, a multimedia system with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, and a panoramic roof. Top variants will be offered with sport front seats and 64-color ambient interior lighting.

The crossover comes with the MG Pilot semi-autonomous driving function, which includes adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist. Additionally, a blind spot monitoring system is available.

The engine lineup includes a two-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine producing 225 hp and 360 Nm of torque. The MG HS is available with an all-wheel drive system.
