The announcement also mentions that the premiere of the new model will take place at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, starting on July 12. It is not yet known whether the production version or a camouflaged prototype will be shown there.

The new Supra will get a platform shared with the third-generation BMW Z4 roadster — engineers from Germany and Japan have been jointly working on the chassis for this sports car since 2014. Thanks to the carbon fiber body, the car's weight will not exceed 1,400 kilograms.
According to unofficial information, the engine range will include a two-liter turbocharged "four" with approximately 245 horsepower and a three-liter six-cylinder unit with about 330 horsepower. Both engines will be supplied by BMW.
Buyers will be offered four variants of the sports car — Supra, Supra GR, Supra GR Sport, and Supra GRMN. These modifications will differ noticeably from each other both technically and in price.
