The hybrid version of the new generation of the Crosstrek model, known on our market as the XV, will appear in the coming summer months.

Unlike its predecessor, the second Crosstrek Hybrid will become the first plug-in hybrid in the history of the brand. The ability to charge from a wall outlet will appear thanks to a hybrid system that Subaru borrowed from Toyota.

Detailed technical specifications have not yet been disclosed, but the company said that the new scheme with a gasoline engine and an electric motor will be based on a boxer unit and will be supplemented by Subaru's proprietary all-wheel drive system.
