The debut of the fourth-generation A6 sedan took place in early March at the Geneva Motor Show, but the traditionally elegant station wagon was reserved for the exhibition in Beijing.

There is practically no difference in dimensions between the two versions, except for the slightly greater height of the station wagon – 1463 mm (+6). Naturally, the luggage compartment of the five-door is also more spacious – 565 versus 530 liters.

The interior is no different from the sedan. The A6 Avant also offers a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and a pair of touchscreens on the center console.

The technology in the models is also similar. Initially, the station wagon will be available in two modifications – A6 Avant 55 TFSI with a 350-horsepower turbocharged 3.0 engine and A6 Avant 50 TDI with a three-liter diesel producing 286 hp.
European sales of the new Audi A6 Avant will start closer to summer. Prices have not yet been published.
