The appearance of the fourth-generation Focus has become more aggressive, and the design hints at Fiesta styling cues. The fourth Focus was the first to adopt the all-new C2 platform, thanks to which the model has grown by more than five centimeters in length (4378 mm), and the wheelbase now reaches 2701 mm (+53). The width has barely changed (1825 mm), but the height has decreased to 1454 mm.

The main highlight in the cabin is not the new 8-inch Sync 3 media center monitor with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces, but the round selector of the 8-speed automatic transmission and the Head-Up display. Additionally, the interior can be enhanced with a premium B&O PLAY audio system rated at 675 W.

The range of petrol engines includes three versions of the compact turbocharged 1.0 EcoBoost, with power from 85 to 125 hp, as well as two EcoBoost units with a displacement of one and a half liters (150 and 182 hp). Diesel engines are represented by 1.5 EcoBlue units with 95 or 120 hp, and a two-liter power unit with 150 hp.

Focuses with liter EcoBoost engines and the 1.5-liter diesel are equipped with a simplified rear suspension with a torsion beam. More powerful modifications are fitted with a multi-link SLA suspension, and such versions can be supplemented with adaptive CDD dampers.
The list of options now includes the Co-Pilot360 driver assistance system suite, which includes adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. Adaptive headlights and an improved parking assistant have also become available for the model.

The lineup of new Ford Focus modifications includes the pseudo-off-road Active version, with a ground clearance increased by 30 mm, but without all-wheel drive. The model is also offered in the familiar Fiesta versions: Vignale, ST-Line, and Titanium.

Initially, the Focus is presented only in the five-door hatchback and wagon body styles, but a sedan is already available for China.
