Audi has begun development of a "hot" electric car e-tron GT, which will reach the assembly line closer to 2020.
Audi Chairman of the Board Rupert Stadler has revealed the company's plans. The e-tron GT sports car will go on sale under the separate Audi Sport brand, which will be used exclusively for high-performance versions.
Only one teaser of the new model has been published so far, with technical specifications still kept under wraps.
In the family of electric models, the e-tron GT will be the third new addition, complementing two crossovers — the e-tron Quattro and e-tron Sportback.
