The Skoda Vision X show car will be equipped with a 130-horsepower 1.5 TSI G-TEC turbo engine that runs not only on gasoline but also on methane. The rear wheels are driven by an electric motor, whose traction batteries are recharged through regenerative braking.
Both powertrains can operate together or separately. Accordingly, the concept can be front-, rear-, or all-wheel drive.
The total range is 650 km, but on electric power alone, the Vision X can only travel a couple of kilometers. The show car's top speed is 200 km/h, and it accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.3 seconds.
