The designers gave the new Forte a more expressive and sporty appearance. The design of the rear bumper and LED optics looks especially original. The sedan has slightly increased in dimensions: length is now 4641 mm (+81 mm), width – 1798 (+18), and height – 1440 (+5).
The interior looks noticeably more solid and promises to please with higher quality trim materials and improved sound insulation, as well as a Harman/Kardon audio system and an 8-inch multimedia screen that supports smartphone integration.
The range of power units so far includes only one two-liter engine developing about 150 hp (exact data not yet available). The engine is offered with a six-speed manual or an IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission) CVT, which is an in-house development of the Korean company.
The timing for the European specification of the Kia Forte sedan has not yet been announced.
