Under the hood of the charged X3 M, a three-liter bi-turbo engine producing about 480 horsepower will be installed. The same engine will also appear on the new generation of the M3 sports sedan, whose premiere is scheduled for 2019.

The production version of the BMW X3 M will debut next year. The main rivals of the new model, apparently, will be the AMG modifications of the Mercedes-Benz GLC crossover and the Audi SQ5.
