The Bavarian company also released a number of photos of the new crossover — both in camouflage film and without it. The images capture the process of launching the model on the assembly line of the BMW plant in American Spartanburg, located in South Carolina.
Judging by the published images, the exterior of the new model will largely repeat the conceptual X7 iPerformance. The appearance of the car promises to be impressive and solid, which corresponds to its flagship position in the lineup.
The cars from the first batch will go for testing to different corners of the planet, where the new model will be checked in a variety of conditions — from scorching deserts to snowy roads of Scandinavia.
The German manufacturer does not yet share technical details, but it is already known that the car is built on the CLAR architecture, and most of the filling came from the seventh series sedan.
The full debut of the production BMW X7 is expected only at the end of next year.
