The petrol turbo engine Energy TCe has a displacement of 1.3 liters and will be offered in three power variants: 115 hp and 220 Nm, 140 hp and 240 Nm, and 160 hp and 260 Nm/270 Nm (depending on the type of gearbox).
The average fuel consumption of the Scenic with any version of the new engine will be 5.4 liters, and acceleration to 100 km/h will take the compact van from 9.1 to 11.3 seconds.
Next year, the compact turbo engine will also be available in other Renault models, and will also be placed under the hood of the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
Production of the "cooperative" engine is organized at the Renault plant in Valladolid, Spain.
