Volkswagen Virtus is not only similar in appearance to the new generation Polo hatchback, but is also built on its MQB A0 platform. The design of the sedan's rear, in turn, is styled after the larger "Jetta".
The new generation of the model has noticeably increased in length (+9 mm) and width (+52 mm), and the wheelbase has grown by almost 100 mm. The trunk volume has also increased, now holding 521 liters (+61 l).
The interior is also very similar to the European version of the Polo and can even boast a fully digital instrument panel Active Info Display.
Sales of the "Virtus" in Brazil will start early next year. There is no official information yet about the debut dates of the second generation of the Polo sedan produced in Russia.
