The updated C4 Cactus became the first car in Europe to receive the Progressive Hydraulic Cushion (PHC) suspension with dramatically improved ride smoothness. Dual hydraulic bump stops (separately for compression and rebound) provide passengers with a feeling of "floating" over the road, but do not worsen the vehicle's handling.

The hatchback's equipment list has added more than ten electronic assistants, including automatic braking, lane keeping and blind spot monitoring, road sign recognition, etc.

The range of power units has been supplemented with a 130-horsepower version of the three-cylinder PureTech turbo engine, which is also available in 110 and 82 hp variants. There is only one diesel so far – the 100-horsepower BlueHDi, but next autumn a more powerful version with 120 "horses" will be added to it.

European sales of the modernized Citroen C4 Cactus will start at the beginning of next year.
