The new generation of the luxurious sedan has retained its recognizable appearance and noticeably increased in size. The model's length has increased by 65 mm (5335 mm), width by 40 (1930), and height by 30 (1505). The wheelbase has stretched to 3090 mm (+65 mm).

The interior retains the signature wool upholstery but looks much more modern.

The new Century has abandoned the 12-cylinder engine and acquired a THS II hybrid powertrain, in which a five-liter V8 is assisted by an electric motor. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed the specifications.

The list of equipment for the "imperial" sedan now includes adaptive LED headlights and the comprehensive Toyota Safety Sense P safety system.

The fully production version of the third-generation Toyota Century will go on sale next summer.
