The design of the Genesis G70 turned out to be quite aggressive to emphasize the sporty character of the model. The rear-wheel-drive sedan is based on a shared platform with the coupe-like Kia Stinger hatchback, shown earlier this year in Detroit.
The luxurious interior welcomes with high-quality Nappa leather and generous aluminum trim. The multimedia system features an 8-inch screen and premium Lexicon audio.
The engine lineup of the Genesis G70 is also shared with the Stinger. The sedan is available with two gasoline turbo engines: 2.0 T-GDI (252 hp) and 3.3 V6 T-GDI (370 hp), as well as a 2.2 VGT diesel (202 hp). The transmission is an 8-speed automatic. The model is available not only with rear-wheel drive but also with all-wheel drive.
The most powerful 370-horsepower version of the G70 can accelerate to 270 km/h, reaching 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds.
Sales of the Genesis G70 sedan in the domestic market start at the end of September. Information about the timing of the model's appearance outside Korea will be published early next year.
