The Prototype 9 show car is styled after a mid-century racing car and combines retro technology with innovative modern technologies.
The rear-wheel-drive concept is equipped with leaf spring suspension, brakes and steering without power assist, but the car is powered by a 120-kilowatt electric motor.
The show car weighs only 890 kg, so the Prototype 9 has quite decent dynamics – 5.5 seconds to 100 km/h. Top speed is 170 km/h.
The unexpected project showed that the Japanese company is doing fine with imagination. The Infiniti Prototype 9 will clearly not be short of public attention in Pebble Beach.
