The appearance of the new "Phantom" has not undergone radical changes and remains instantly recognizable.

The luxury sedan is based on a completely new aluminum architecture, which made it possible to increase body rigidity by 30%. The platform was developed from scratch and has nothing to do with BMW models.
The new Phantom is 77 mm shorter than its predecessor (5762 mm), but at the same time 29 mm wider (2018 mm) and 28 mm taller (1646 mm). The wheelbase has been reduced by 19 mm (3552 mm).

The interior design also did not surprise with changes too much. The main innovation is a 12-inch screen of the digital instrument panel, instead of classic analog scales. Now not only the seats themselves are heated, but also all armrests in the cabin.
Great attention was paid to sound insulation. A special two-layer varnish coating 6 mm thick is applied to the body of the model, and more than 130 kg of soundproofing materials are used in the design. Even the tires are filled with special foam that reduces noise level by 9 dB.

The adaptive air suspension of the "Phantom" adjusts to the road profile in advance, receiving information from a stereoscopic camera under the windshield, which analyzes the characteristics of the road ahead at speeds up to 100 km/h.
Under the hood of the new Phantom is a significantly modernized V12 engine with a volume of 6.75 liters, supplemented by two turbochargers, due to which power and torque increased from 460 hp and 720 Nm to 571 hp and 900 Nm, respectively. The engine is paired with an improved 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF.

Acceleration to the first hundred on the speedometer now takes 5.3 seconds (-0.6 sec.), and the maximum speed is still limited to 250 km/h.
The new Rolls-Royce Phantom will still be produced at the plant in West Sussex. The price on the domestic market starts from 400 thousand pounds.
