Sales of the new model on the European market will start in summer, and in Ukraine this model can be purchased at the end of 2017.

The Kona is built on a completely new platform that allows the use of an all-wheel drive system without compromising interior space. At the same time, the body structure consists of 51.8% high-strength steels.
The crossover's length is 4,165 mm, width – 1,800 mm, height – 1,550 mm, and wheelbase – 2,600 mm. Ground clearance is not too impressive – 170 mm.

The base engine for the Kona will be a 1.0-liter T-GDI turbo engine with 120 hp (172 Nm), paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 12 seconds, and the top speed is 181 km/h.
Also available for the crossover is a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated MPI engine with 149 hp, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The top version of the model is equipped with a 177-horsepower 1.6-liter turbo unit producing 265 Nm of torque and complemented by a 7-speed robotized gearbox. The top speed with this engine is 210 km/h, and acceleration to 100 km/h takes 7.7 seconds.
The Hyundai Kona comes with a wide range of electronic assistants, including an automatic braking system, as well as blind spot monitoring and lane keeping assist functions.

Prices and trim levels of the new crossover will be announced closer to the start of sales.
