Both base trim levels of the Countryman received three-cylinder engines with a displacement of 1.5 liters, belonging to the EfficientDynamics line developed by BMW specialists.
The petrol version develops 102 horsepower and 180 Nm of torque. With a manual gearbox, the crossover reaches the first hundred in 11.8 seconds, and with an automatic one — in 12.2 seconds. The top speed reaches 180 km/h. Depending on the type of transmission, average fuel consumption varies from 5.5 to 5.8 liters per 100 kilometers.
The diesel modification of the Countryman turned out to be more powerful: 116 hp and 270 Nm. The One D version accelerates to 100 km/h in less than 11 seconds, and its maximum speed is 190 km/h. At the same time, the average consumption of such a crossover does not exceed four liters per 100 km.
