So far, it is impossible to judge the appearance of the new model — only one photo is available, showing a six-seat cabin stylistically very close to the interior of the CX-5 crossover. However, the layout may suggest either six or seven seats.
The car's dimensions are somewhat more modest than those of the older CX-9 model. The CX-8 reaches 4900 mm in length, 1840 mm in width, and 1730 mm in height. The wheelbase is stretched to 2930 mm.
Under the hood, a 2.2-liter Skyactiv-D diesel engine will be placed, but the manufacturer keeps the power figures a secret.
